Orkney by Boat
The Orkney by Boat experience is a six night fully catered cruise, departing from either Stromness or Kirkwall.
Our cruise itineraries are weather dependent, but with over 500 miles of coastline to explore, our Orkney By Boat Cruises are a magical way to experience the rugged, natural beauty of Orkney.
Orkney is made up of 70 islands split between the Mainland, the North Isles, and the South Isles. Our gentle cruising takes in both the ancient and the modern, the inhabited and the uninhabited, the cultural, the magical and the mythical.
The OBBC couples small island cruising with professionally guided excursions to the Heart of Neolithic Orkney World Heritage Site, as well as many other unspoilt and spectacular areas of Orkney’s cultural and archaeological heritage.
Some of the islands are large, well worth exploring, with far-flung points of interest. We have a people carrier at our disposal to help us reach some of the more remote destinations. Only 18 islands are currently inhabited, so a visit to one or more of our very many abandoned islands will feature as a truly unique experience.
Guests board Huskyan from 13:30 on the Sunday afternoon to a warm welcome and refreshments. Once everyone is settled in, we depart for our first island destination and overnight anchorage.
